Privacy Policy

Simple Guitar Tuner · Effective 22 September 2026

Simple Guitar Tuner collects no data about you. It has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and no third-party SDKs. Nothing you do in the app is sent anywhere, because the app has no networking code at all.

The microphone

The app needs microphone access to do its one job: hear the string you are tuning and measure its pitch.

You can revoke microphone access at any time in Settings › Privacy & Security › Microphone. The app will keep running; it just will not be able to hear your guitar.

Subscriptions

Premium is an auto-renewing subscription sold through Apple's In-App Purchase system. Apple handles the transaction end to end: payment details and your Apple Account are never visible to this app or to its developer. The app only ever asks Apple a single yes-or-no question — whether this device currently has an active subscription — and that answer stays on the device.

Apple's handling of purchases is covered by Apple's Privacy Policy. Subscription terms are covered by the standard Apple licence agreement.

Your rights

Regulations such as the GDPR and the CCPA give you rights to access, correct, export, and delete personal data held about you, and to object to its sale. There is no such data here to act on: the app holds none, its developer receives none, and none is sold or shared with anyone. Deleting the app removes it and everything it contained.

Children

The app is safe for all ages and collects no personal information from anyone, including children under 13.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the revised version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes on the App Store.
